Super Bowl LVIII between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs is set to air Sunday, Feb. 11. If you are planning to have friends over to “couchgate” (the domestic equivalent of “tailgate”) during the big game, here are some possible takeout food options.

According to industry sources, the most widely consumed dish at Super Bowl get-togethers is wings. If that is the play you intend to call for your game-day shindig, be aware that EMILY in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn is restoring its gochujang wings to its menu in time for Super Bowl Sunday. Order 6 wings for $18, 12 for $32, or any multiple thereof as needed. Note that all wing orders must be placed by Sunday Feb. 4. Pick up on Sunday Feb. 11 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Order in advance by emailing meg@emilybrooklyn.com. EMILY Brooklyn, 919 Fulton Street, Brooklyn.

If you’re looking to purchase wings in quantity, consider Ribs, Wings & Things in Corona, Queens. The restaurant, which opened during the pandemic as a ghost kitchen for Rainhas Churrascaria, offers eight sauce options for its wings, which can be ordered boneless or bone-in. The house also turns out fall-off-the-bone-tender ribs as well as sides. Party packs of up to 50 wings, ribs, or combinations thereof are available via GrubHub. Ribs, Wings & Things, 108-01 Northern Boulevard, Queens.

Distilled NY, in Tribeca, has hit upon the secret to wings that are crackling crisp on the outside and moist and tender inside. That is frying the wings twice before turning them in a simultaneously sweet and salty gochujang sauce. Distilled NY, 211 West Broadway (at Franklin St.).

Dan & John’s Wings, which has three locations, offers an almost dizzying range of saucing options from inferno to BBQ sweet. To qualify for their 20-piece “wing kit,” preorder here and pick your order up by Feb. 11. The kit, which is $34.99, provides 20 wings (traditional or boneless), wing sauce, celery and carrots, and a choice of blue cheese or ranch. Note that the wings come to you fully cooked, ready to re-heat in your oven or air fryer.

Bubby’s, in Tribeca, is offering two platters for Super Bowl Sunday. The App Platter ($80) features Buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese sauce, tater tots with jalapeño cheese dip, jalapeño poppers with homemade ranch, and more. The Dinner Platter ($120) includes the same items as the App Platter, augmented by burger sliders and salted chocolate chip cookies. Orders must be placed by Thursday, Feb. 8. Bubby’s, 120 Hudson Street.
