Time to change the lyrics from “Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack” to “Buy me a porchetta sandwich from City Winery and BBQ filet tip, loaded tater tots from Lobel’s.” But even that mouthful of syllables only scratches the surface of the meal/snack-time options for the 2024 season at Yankee Stadium. Other notable newcomers to the roster are Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson, The Halal Guys, and Benihana. (Benihana still exists? News to me.)
But the stadium doesn’t stop at the number of attractions they have added to divert your attention from the reason for being here. They have also added “a broad array of social gathering locations throughout the building” such as the Mastercard Batter’s Eye Deck, Toyota Terrace, and Pepsi Food Court.
There is even a vegetable garden inside Gate 2 that fans can visit if they get bored with the game. The lettuce, tomatoes, and herbs grown there “will be used in various menu items throughout the season.”
