Next Wednesday, March 27, is National Paella Day. To commemorate the day, the Spanish restaurant and tapas bar Boqueria is offering half off its signature paellas at lunchtime and dinner.

The seafood paella — saffron-scented Bomba rice combined with monkfish, sepia, squid, shrimp, clams, and more — is ordinarily priced at $29 for a small version, $49 for a medium. On Wednesday, the prices will be slashed to $14.50 and $24.50 respectively. A second option, new for spring, is a vegetarian paella featuring eggplant, broccoli, peas, grape tomatoes, piquillo peppers, and other veggies. It, too, is discounted by half.

To sweeten the pot further, diners who order a paella on National Paella Day will receive complimentary churros at meal’s end.

Boqueria has four locations: SoHo (171 Spring Street), Flatiron (53 W. 19th Street), the Upper East Side (1460 Second Avenue, at E. 76th St.), and the Garment District (260 W. 40th St.). Reservations are available on Resy.
