Last year was tough on lovers of great pizza. Three legendary Brooklyn pizzerias — Lenny’s, famous for its cameo in “Saturday Night Fever,” Sal’s in Cobble Hill, and Caruso’s in Carroll Gardens — all gave up the ghost after decades of service.
Now Johnny’s in Sunset Park has followed suit after 56 years. Brooklyn Magazine reports that “Wednesday was the final day of operations, as the owners of the family-run business announced online that they’ve decided to retire.”
