No that’s not break-up as in the candy known as chocolate break-up. It’s break-up as in “We are through. Pack up your stuff and go.” Ouch!
In time for Valentine’s Day, Insomnia Cookies is offering cookies for couples who are ending their relationships — even if one of the partners is unaware. In a press release, the cookie maker described the product as a “very unserious way of ending things, since warm cookies [are] better than a cold heart.”
The limited-edition 12-pack comes with one of four messages “handwritten” on the inside of the box. The sentiments include the ever-popular “We’re done. Have a nice life,” “You’re sweet, but not my taste,” “Have the hots for your roommate,” and the especially heartless rewrite of “It’s not you, it’s me,” as “It’s not me, it’s you.”
The cookies will be available through Feb. 18.
If you’d prefer to send more traditional Valentine’s Day cookies, Insomnia is featuring those as well.
