On Jan. 3, 2023, the lounge at Sweetbriar, in Kip’s Bay, will be the scene of an industry takeover between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. — and you’re invited.
The event kicks off a month-long partnership between the Michelin-recognized restaurant, located in the Park South Hotel, and Mexican spirit maker Don Julio. For the first hour, guests will be invited to chow down on complimentary pizza from Sweetbriar’s wood-fired oven while sipping gratis cocktails crafted using TG’s tequila. Sweetbriar, 127 E. 27th Street, 212-204-0225.
Snap-O-Razzo
When it rains… Just yesterday, we told you about Glizzy’s NYC, a late-night purveyor of hot dogs that opened last week in Williamsburg. Another day, another vendor of red hots. Snap-O-Razzo, a purveyor of artisanal maple-smoked franks that emerged on the scene four years ago at sports venues and retail stores in the western part of the country, has opened its first brick-and-mortar location in the Citizens Manhattan West food hall under the name “Frankly by Snap-O-Razzo.” Choose Ralphie’s Favorite Dog, named for the company’s founder, Ralph Perrazzo. The sandwich (yes, hot dogs are a sandwich!) is dressed with sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard ($10), or opt for the Chicago-ish Dog ($10), crowned with pickle spears, tomato, green relish, and diced onion. Frankly by Snap-O-Razzo (398 Tenth Avenue).
