What’s the sound of a vertical farm laughing? Find out tonight, Jan. 5, when Farm. One in Prospect Heights holds its first Comedy Night with Brain Weapon Comedy.

The event, which is free (though a $10 donation is suggested for the comics) will feature the comedic stylings of Zoltan Kaszas (America’s Got Talent, Netflix), Pamela Ross (McSweeney’s, Limestone Comedy Festival), Jamell Sirleaf (Vail Comedy Festival, QED), Andre Medrano (ViceTV, SF Sketchfest), and Mary Cella (The New Yorker, Comedy Central).

If you’d like to grab a bite before the show, be advised that between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., Achilles Heat‘s Lisa-Thi will be popping up at the farm to serve some of her BBQ favorites using her very own roasted pepper hot sauce.

RSVP here.

Farm.One, 625 Bergen Street, Brooklyn, 646-600-5146.

This & That

This & That Bakery, an Italian-style plant-based cottage bakery based in Brooklyn, will be making its first appearance of the winter this Saturday, Jan. 6, at Down to Earth Markets in Morningside Park. Featured baked goods will include rainbow cookies, black and white cookies, stuffed chocolate chip cookies, babka, and more.

All of This & That’s products are free of dairy and eggs and gluten-free, though the bakery emphasizes that wheat products are crafted in its kitchen, and so there is a small chance of gluten contamination.

To reserve baked goods for pickup between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., pre-order at https://thisandthatvegan.com/pre-order-for-down-to-earth-market/.
