“Progress” strikes again. According to Upper East Site, the Italian restaurant Tiramisu, located at the corner of East 80th Street and Third Avenue, has been served with an eviction notice. The restaurant, which opened in 1989, faces demolition this coming October, to make room no doubt for another of those faceless, characterless, mid-high rise buildings that have sadly come to define the Manhattan cityscape.

If you’re a fan of the restaurant, take heart. Eater reports that Tiramisu will relocate to 1643 Second Avenue, between East 85th and 86th streets.

BOGOF$1

OK — not every promotion lends itself to an anagram. Suffice it to say that for a limited time, McDonald’s is running a “buy one, get one for $1” deal on 3 fan favorites: the Big Mac, the Quarter Pounder with Cheese, and the 10-Piece Chicken McNuggets.

The deal is being offered by participating restaurants and through the McDonald’s app.
