Chef Hong Thaimee, whose popular pandemic-era pop-up in the West Village, Thaimee Love, became a permanent installation in October, will be popping up again in January for one night only. On Jan. 12, she will be joining Ed McFarland at his restaurant Ed’s Lobster Bar to take diners on a lobster-centric East-meets-West journey that features elements of Hong’s “modern Thai comfort food.”
Highlights of the menu, which can be viewed here, include spicy clam tom yum, steamers with Thai dipping sauce, and of course lobster, in both Ed’s signature lobster roll and Hong’s grilled lobster pad Thai. Lobster will even appear among desserts, as “chocolate lobster.”
Tickets, which are $130, can be purchased here. Ten percent of the proceeds will be directed to City Harvest and New Yorkers in need.
