Attention, Harry Potter fans. Another National Ice Cream Day is fast approaching. And to celebrate the event, The Harry Potter New York flagship store is treating wizards and muggles to free Butterbeer ice cream.

From 12 noon to 3 p.m. ET on July 21, Potter enthusiasts who visit Harry Potter New York (935 Broadway) can enjoy a sample of the delightful butterscotch-inspired frozen treat.

This Brooklyn Bar Is Going to the Dogs

It’s dog week at Grand Army Bar. (Step aside, shark week.) From now through Friday July 19 (which is National Daiquiri Day), as part of the Daiqs & Dogs fundraising campaign, this Boerum Hill fixture will be offering a special Hound Dog daiquiri (Worthy Park Rumbar Gold, Giffard Apricot & Banana, Yuzu, Pineapple, Lime, $18) and a hot dog (bacon, truffle aïoli, mustard, diced onion, $10) with proceeds from each item being donated to the Humane Society.

Then, on Saturday July 20, the bar will host its now-annual adoptable dogs meet-and-greet. From 2:00 to 5 p.m., non-profit Every Last One Rescue, which rescues dogs from overcrowded shelters, will be bringing by some of its current foster pups. Guests and passersby are encouraged to come find a new forever friend.

Grand Army Bar, 336 State Street, Brooklyn.
