On Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 8 p.m., the 80-foot-tall Norway spruce in Rockefeller Center will burst into dazzling color as 50,000 multi-hued lights blink on. If you’re a diehard New Yorker, the annual tree lighting is an event not to be missed.

But it’s not the only attraction to be found in Rockefeller Center this holiday season. From now through Jan. 2, the center will also be home to the Candy Cottage of Christmas Magic, which, true to its name, whisks kids of all ages on a journey jam-packed with sugary treats.

The interactive attraction revolves around a mythical tale of a magical cottage located inside the trunk of a Christmas tree. Here visitors seek out the Essence of Christmas while gorging on the sweet treats of their choice. Next comes a scavenger hunt that promises even more candy. The journey ends back in the cottage where visitors are treated to “a truly enchanting memory-making moment that wonderfully wraps the most perfect way to experience NYC this holiday season.”

Tickets, which are $25 for standard admission and $50 for VIP admission, can be purchased here. The entire adventure takes about 45 minutes.
