It’s that time of year when restaurateurs, if they are lucky, see stars. This year’s list of New York City restaurants that earned the Michelin Guide seal of approval includes 10 newly anointed establishments, 8 receiving one star and 2 receiving two. In addition, 2 restaurants were awarded green stars, which denotes places that lead the industry in sustainable practices.

One continuing trend from previous years is the ascendancy of Asian and Asian-influenced restaurants that draw upon French cooking techniques.
