New Yorkers seem never to tire of restaurants and bars with secret or disguised entrances. Ditto for visitors to the Big Apple.
If that includes you, you’ll want to hasten over to Nordstrom Men’s Store just off Columbus Circle and check out The Clubhouse, a joint venture between cocktail superstore The New York Cocktail Company and Dante, the vintage craft bar in the West Village. The Clubhouse is hidden in plain view on the second floor of the clothing store.
The collaboration is evident in such listings as the mezcalito, a blend of su casa mezcal, faccia brutto aperitivo, mancino ambrato, mancino secco, and orange bitters.
According to InsideHook, a room off the back of the bar is where Nordstrom’s custom tailoring is done. The piece opines, “For those looking to get a suit tailored, it’s the best kind of two-in-one.”
