It’s hard to avoid it. Plant-based protein alternatives have become part of the food lover’s lexicon. So much are these foods staples in the diets of many nutrition-conscious eaters that a new purveyor of plant-based bulk foods recently went online. The company’s name is VEDGEco, and on Aug. 1 it began serving restaurants, caterers and consumers offering popular plant-based food brands at wholesale prices.

The only possible limitation to ordering at home is that VEDGEco sells in bulk, much like CostCo. If that’s not an impediment, you can purchase dairy products and proteins like plant-based bacon, eggs, cheese-style shreds, burgers, sausages, drumsticks, chicken nuggets, and more.

“Our mission at VEDGEco is to make plant-based products more affordable and accessible for everyone across the United States, not just for restaurants and caterers, but for individuals and families to enjoy at home too,” says VEDGEco co-founder and CEO Trevor Hitch. “Buying plant-based foods in bulk will save our customers a great deal of money. The added convenience of having these products shipped directly to their doors within 1-2 business days will make it easier than ever for every American to try a plant-based diet or add plant-based alternatives to their menu.”

Orders will be delivered frozen and packed with environmentally-friendly, foam-free insulation and dry ice.
