If you’ve never seen the romcom “When Harry Met Sally,” you’ll have a chance on Sunday to watch the legendary “fake orgasm” scene during a Super Bowl ad for Hellmann’s mayonnaise. Actually, it will be a recreation of the 1989 classic starring the original actors, Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, seated at the same table in Katz’s Delicatessen in Lower Manhattan.
The only thing that’s different, apart from the age of the actors, is whether Katz’s offers mayo as a condiment much less places a bottle on every table.
Happy Zabar’s Appreciation Day
Today, at 1 p.m., the city of New York will officially decree Feb. 6 to be Zabar’s Appreciation Day. The smoked fish emporium has been serving the Upper West Side for 90 years. To commemorate this milestone and thank its loyal customers, on Sunday (which coincidentally is National Bagel and Lox Day!), the store will offer special deals on bagels and lox.
