I must admit I don’t experience the same revulsion many people do when viewing the following video from 2022. In it, a spectator at a New York Yankees game can be seen methodically using a plastic drinking straw to chisel a hole in an actual ballpark frank, then uses the resulting makeshift straw to sip his beer.

I’m not saying it holds any particular appeal for me either, but the incident has prompted cold cuts giant Oscar Mayer — which is always greedy for free publicity — to come out with its own silicone hot dog straw to commemorate the video’s one-year anniversary.
According to the company’s website, the novelty straw is available for preorder until supplies run out. (h/t The Takeout)
