Tomorrow, Aug. 26, is International Dog Day. In observance of the day, Vermont creamery Ben & Jerry’s has come out with ice cream flavors made specifically for canines. The company’s website notes that Pontch’s Mix is a frozen dog treat with peanut butter & pretzel swirls, while Rosie’s Batch is pumpkin-flavored and studded with mini cookies. The doggy ice cream can be purchased online or at Target and other major retailers.

If you do feed your dog ice cream, be sure to brush his teeth afterwards. Not that I likely need to remind you to do that. According to a survey by Embark, a DNA testing site for dogs(!), dog owners in New York rank first when it comes to brushing their pets’ teeth.
