Take the Cake at the Musket Room in Celebration of Black History Month

Camari Mick, pastry chef at the acclaimed Michelin-starred Musket Room, isĀ  collaborating this week in a pop-up featuring predominantly black chefs, bakers, and entrepreneurs who have gathered in recognition of Black History Month. The edible fruits of their labors go on saleĀ today, Feb. 21, and next Sunday, Feb. 27, packed into food boxes sold out of the restaurant from noon to 2 p.m. The cost per box is $80, and Mick and her fellow creators will be on hand to greet guests.

Each box will contain two whoopie pies made by Mick herself, five pieces of Ghanaian bread by Nana Araba, two sunflower praline macarons by Jamal Dailey, two sweet potato cappelletti with sauce by Aretah Ettarh, three baggies of a spice blend sampler by Zoe Adjonyoh, two bon bons by Rachel Bosset, a container of jerk sauceĀ  along with a recipe by Brittney Williams, and a green sauce and recipe by Luciana Lamboy.
