First the good news: Early next week, the deep freeze the Northeast finds itself in is supposed to thaw. The temperature in New York will reach a balmy 35°. The bad news is that tomorrow, the temperature is expected to drop again, with a high of 12°.
Luckily, we have chanced upon a few recipes that will not only induce you to climb out from under the covers long enough to heat up the Dutch oven or turn on the crock pot but to reward you at dinnertime with soup hearty enough to chase the chill from your bones.
