The reasoning behind this collab must have gone something like this: Everyone likes ice cream. Everyone likes bagels. Ergo, everyone will like the two tastes together in a single bite.

Whether the theory is sound is something you’ll have to decide for yourself by paying a visit to the Museum of Ice Cream, which added the “Ice-a-Bagel” to its list of treats last week. The item is made by schmearing (it’s a bagel, so you schmear, not spread) a dollop of Philadelphia cream cheese gelato on the bottom half of a bifurcated mini pink bagel, then replace the top.

The recipe doesn’t stop there. The treat isn’t complete until “everything bagel seasoning” is sprinkled on top — a step that may be the straw that broke the camel’s back in this battle between sweet and savory.

The bagels, like all other bagels produced by Ess-A-Bagel, are baked fresh daily.

Tickets to the museum start at $45 and may be purchased here.
