Yes, Virginia, there is a museum of ice cream. Two, in fact: one in San Francisco and one right here in the Big Apple.
Now this wouldn’t much of an ice cream museum if it were all look but don’t touch. Happily, the experience, is immersive and includes 13 installations spread across 3 floors. But the opportunities for interaction are not limited to the sense of touch. There are also plenty of edible treats in store.
If there’s a down side, it’s that tickets, which may be reserved here, don’t come cheap. They are $39 a head, including for children above the age of 2. Consider it a cultural experience, and go anyway.
The Museum of Ice Cream NYC is located at 558 Broadway in SoHo.
