If you don’t know what “Minions” refers to, you probably don’t have young children. It’s a movie — “Minions: The Rise of Gru” — that is scheduled to be released in theaters July 1.
From now through then, IHOP will feature a menu of summer options inspired by the film, including Cinna-Minions, “despicably delicious donut holes tossed with cinnamon sugar and drizzled with cream cheese icing”; Gru’s Evil Steakburger, piled high with a spicy blend of sautéed jalapenos, serranos, and onions, hickory-smoked bacon, pepper jack cheese, and mac & cheese; and Ba-Ba-Banana Pudding Pancakes. There will also be a Mischievous Minion Kids Combo: One Ba-Ba-Ba-Banana Pudding Pancake served with a strip of bacon, a sausage link, and scrambled eggs.
Also beginning today, from 4 p.m. through 10 p.m., kids 12 and under will receive a free entrée from the kid’s menu with the purchase of an adult entrée.
