It began life as a filling station in lower Manhattan. Then it was converted to a filling station cum burger joint, offering up some of the city’s most talked-about burgers.

Now it is metamorphosing again, this time into a prop in Peacock’s highly acclaimed comedy-drama series Poker Face. The gas station/restaurant (whose real name is Smacking Burger) will be transformed into a roadside diner called “Charlie Cale’s Back on Her BLSHT Rest Stop.” The episode that features the burger joint as a backdrop will air tonight (Friday, May 9) and tomorrow (Saturday, May 10).

Fans who stop by the location tonight and tomorrow can snag a free burger (one meat, one vegetarian) while supplies last (one burger per customer). Non-fans are welcome, too.

While you are there, you are invited to take pictures with a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda like the one Charlie drives in the series.

Mobil Station & Smacking Burger, 51-63 Eighth Ave., New York, NY.
