The team behind the legendary Delmonico’s has announced the opening of a trattoria a few blocks north of the historical Financial District landmark. The sibling will be named Tucci, after the family that ran the steakhouse for many years.

Chef Edward J. Hong, who currently manages the kitchen at Delmonico’s, will run the kitchen at Tucci as well. The menu will be classical Italian, featuring the likes of bucatini amatriciana and osso buco ravioli with bone marrow and a chestnut pesto. A couple of high-end meat courses, including an Iberico pork chop and an “eye of Delmonico,” will pay homage to its sibling’s steakhouse pedigree.

Tucci is expecting a March 15 debut.

Tucci, 643 Broadway (at Bleecker St.).
