A similar desire for brevity is at work among recipe developers nowadays who attempt to ease the burden for working people by tailoring recipes that can accommodate a hectic schedule.

Oftentimes the cutting of corners comes at the cost of flavor and texture, but not this time. Neither one happens to be flour, which affords the added advantage of making the cake gluten- and carb-free.
