Word from an insider has it that Macy’s has pulled out all the stops for this year’s Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza. Where will you be this year when the skies light up, exploding into a glorious red, white, and blue tribute to our nation? One option is to join the hordes down on the crowded streets plodding toward the East River to jockey for a spot. A second is to rise above the commotion literally by booking a seat at the ROOF at Park South‘s July 4 viewing party on the roof of the Park South Hotel in Murray Hill.
The party, which runs from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. will begin with an hour of passed canapés, followed by food stations showcasing holiday favorites prepared by James Beard-nominated chef Bryce Shuman. The open bar will feature cocktail selections curated by Beverage Director Ivan Papic (formerly of Balthazar, Pastis, and Macao Trading Co.).
