It’s that time of year again. The weather is turning nippy, and nothing warms the cockles of the heart more than a tipple of a good Kentucky Bourbon, a light and fruity Irish Whisky, or — if it’s your preferred way to roll — vodka, gin, or tequila. All will be on hand, along with samples of new spirits, at this year’s Brooklyn Whiskey and Spirits Fest, coming to the Brooklyn EXPO Center on Nov. 13.

Upon arrival, you will receive a souvenir tasting glass along with a welcome to sample any and all of the offerings. Experts will be present to walk you through some of the intricacies of spirit-making.

As in previous years, there will two sessions, one from 1 to 4 p.m., the other from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets can be obtained here. The cost of general admission will be $65 up through Nov. 6, after which the price goes up to $70. Tickets for designated drivers (always a good idea) go for $15.

Brooklyn EXPO Center, 72 Noble Street, Brooklyn.
