On Sept. 24, Blu on the Hudson, the year-and-a-half-old steak, seafood, and sushi emporium with breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline, will partner with Promontory Wines to deliver what promises to be a memorable dinner with some rare pours.

The latter will include a preview of Promonotory’s 2020 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon, which has not yet reached the market. Two other wines from the vineyard will be offered as well as selections from other producers, each chosen to complement key elements of the five courses offered:

  • Kumamoto Oyster, Kaluga caviar, Japanese uni; pairing: Gosset Grande Reserve Champagne NV
  • Late Summer Corn Tortellini with king crab and leeks; pairing: Domaine Faiveley Ladoix “Les Marnes Blanches” 2023
  • Roasted Long Island Duck Breast, wild mushroom crepe, poached quince; pairing: Domaine Faiveley Mercurey Premier Cru “Clos des Myglands” Monopole 2022
  • Steak Flight (prime filet, prime ribeye, Japanese Wagyu); pairing: Promontory 2011, 2018, and 2020
  • Roasted Figs, fourme d’Ambert cheese, pistachios; pairing: Royal Tokaji Co. Late Harvest 2018
