“Wonder,” the name of a new food prep and restaurant delivery concept developed by entrepreneur Marc Lore, comes as close to bringing the mountain to Mohammad as any food delivery service has done.
As I Love the Upper West Side notes, this latest venture from the brains behind the e-commerce platform Jet.com is already a reality in New Jersey and Westchester. When you place your order with a participating restaurant, a mobile kitchen is reportedly dispatched to your address, where your meal is prepared and delivered hot to your door.
Partners listed on Wonder’s website include Bobby Flay Steak and Brooklyn’s Di Fara pizza. If the service strikes you as improbable — or at least improbably expensive — you’re not alone, though maybe we should wait until it becomes a reality to make those judgments. We’ll keep you posted.
