Truth or dare: Do you like M&M’S — enough to spend the night with them?
If your answer is yes, then you’ll want to sign up post haste to become a member of the recently launched M&M’S Fun Club at mms.com/fun-club, a rewards program. Sign up no later than March 19, and your name will automatically be entered to win a sleepover for you and four friends at the M&M Times Square Store. The sleepover will take place sometime in April.
Billing the event as the “ultimate slumber party,” Mars, makers of the candy, notes in a press release that the M&M’S store sleepover will feature personalized glamping set-ups and nostalgic sleepover activities. What’s more, the contest winner and his friends “will also get to hang with a Spokescandy, try an exclusive M&M’S Fun Club flavor mix available only during the sleepover experience, be treated to an after-hours shopping spree, and of course — enjoy some tasty treats featuring an array of M&M’S favorites.”
Lest you think the contest is for children only, Mars emphasizes that slumber parties can be fun at any age.
Pi Day
Another Pi Day (the day of the year when the numerical form of the date is 3.14) is rapidly approaching.
This year, do something to better yourself or the plight of others.
Do something for yourself: Challenge your body on Saturday, March 15, by signing up for the annual Pi Day 3.14 mile walk/run at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, in Corona. The event is being sponsored by the Never Stop Running Foundation. After the event, participants are invited to grab themselves some goodies from All Round Foods, Waterloo Sparkling Water, and — of course — Table Talk Apple Pie.
Do something for others: Slice Out Hunger is back with its “Pie It Forward” appeal to help stamp out hunger. Either make a donation to this worthy cause, or volunteer time at an affiliated shelter.
