Name a whiskey and chances are good that you’ll mention one of the brands featured in Whiskies of the World Brooklyn, a tasting event coming to the borough on Dec. 9. Over 100 distilled spirits will be yours for the tasting, and representatives from the various makers will be on hand to field your questions.
The event will take place at The Weylin, an event space in Williamsburg. Tickets, which may be purchased here, come in two flavors: general admission ($125), which includes light gourmet bites and a souvenir tasting glass, and VIP ($175), which additionally includes early admission and VIP-exclusive pours.
A trio of 30-minute master classes will be offered for an additional $10 per class.

Free Footlong Cookie
Subway (the restaurant, not the mode of transportation) is notable for its footlong sandwiches. In 2024, the chain will be adding footlong chocolate chip cookies to its menu.
For a sneak preview of the meal topper, stop in at a participating location on Monday, Dec. 4, which is National Cookie Day. The cookie is free with the purchase of a footlong sandwich.
