Once again, life imitates art — if in fact art is the right term. After the airing of an episode of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York” in which the cast chows down on Pringles potato “crisps” and caviar, Kelloggs, the maker of the snack food, cashed in on the free publicity. Teaming up with The Caviar Co., the brand is offering the Crisp and Caviar Collection, which comes complete with serious prices for a gag.
The unlikely combination, is available in three kits:
- The Pringles x The Caviar Co. Smoky Shores ($49): Sour Cream & Onion Pringles with The Caviar Co.’s Smoked Trout Roe and crème fraîche;
- The Pringles x The Caviar Co. Salt of The Sea ($110): original Pringles, The Caviar Co.’s Classic White Sturgeon Caviar and crème fraîche;
- The Pringles x The Caviar Co. ‘Crisps and Caviar’ Flight ($140): Pringles Original, Sour Cream & Onion, and BBQ, along with The Caviar Co.’s Classic White Sturgeon Caviar and Smoked Trout Roe.
Each kit, moreover, comes with a gold caviar keychain complete with a can opener, and two spoons. The Pringles x The Caviar Co. Smoky Shores and the Pringles x The Caviar Co. Salt of The Sea take the luxe a step further by coming bundled with a “super classy” (their word, not ours) Pringles serving tray.
