What weighs upwards of 27,401 pounds and is white and red all over? If you guessed the world’s largest pizza, you’re right. CNN reports that Pizza Hut set out last week to break the Guinness World Record for the world’s biggest pizza. The stunt was designed to help promote the return of its “big New Yorker” pizza — a cheese and pepperoni pie with foldable slices.
The finished pie, unveiled last week in the Los Angeles Convention Center, measured 13,990 square feet, used 13,653 pounds of dough, 4,948 pounds of pizza sauce, 8,800 pounds of cheese, and roughly 630,000 slices of pepperoni.
Why foldable slices? Because in New York pizza is eaten on the go, and folding the slice in half lengthwise prevents the molten cheese and other toppings from running off.

Speaking of cheese, are you goo-goo for Gouda or crazy for Camembert at bedtime? If you are, your late-night eating habits might be worth $1,000. The website Sleep Junkie is conducting a study to test the theory, popular in Europe, that eating cheese before bed gives you nightmares.
Researchers are looking for five “dairy dreamers” to help them determine the impact of eating cheese before turning in for the night. Chosen candidates will maintain a sleep log and provide a written evaluation of sleep quality, including specifics on dreams and nightmares.
