Crumb topping or no crumb topping? Four cheeses or one cheese? Elbow macaroni or sky’s the limit? Heavy cream, half and half, or just plain milk?
There are some of the questions that mac and cheese aficionados will be debating on Sunday, March 18, when they draw sporks at TimeOut’s Mac & Cheese Smackdown at the Brooklyn Expo Center in Greenpoint. On hand will be twenty of the city’s premiere versions of the dish to sample and judge.

The event will be divided into two sessions, the first from 2 to 4 p.m., and a second from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Holders of VIP tickets will receive an additional half hour of grazing and sipping at the beginning of each session.
