Every big name in the food world, it seems, is going vegan. The latest is celebrity chef Ming Tsai, who has launched a frozen vegan patty line that is being carried by Wegmans Food Markets.

Starting this week, the products will be available as a two-pack in the frozen food section at all Wegmans’ stores.

Each of the three flavors, including the Original Veggie-Filled Bing, Buffalo Cauliflower Bing, and Plant-Based Sausage & Peppers Bing is plant-based, gluten-free, and dairy-free.

The patties are heat-and-eat ready and can be prepared on the grill, in an air fryer, or in an oven.

Although veganism is suddenly all the rage, in fairness to Ming, he has been focusing on plant-based cooking for years now. (Tofu, anyone?)

What Is a Bing?

The traditional Chinese bing was first introduced during the Ming dynasty (appropriately enough) and has recently risen to prominence in the street food community.

As an added inducement to try the product, MingsBings will donate a portion of its proceeds to Family Reach and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

You can buy MingsBings at the Wegmans at 21 Flushing Avenue, in Brooklyn. They are also available direct-to-consumer in packs of 12 and 24 on mingsbings.com. Prices start at $59.99 for a 12-pack.
