On Feb. 17 The Juicy Lounge — a juice specializing in slow-pressed juices, juice shots, and smoothies — will open in Hudson Yards. Small bites and a coffee program from Harlem-based Dell’Aria Coffee Roasters will also be offered.
All juices are pressed using top-of-the-line Kuvings Juicers to ensure that none of the nutrients are lost in the process. Juice orders can be customized depending on your “needs for the day,” which include “Remedies,” “Detox,” and “Refresher.”
Ordinarily you wouldn’t expect much in the way of décor from a juice bar, but the interiors of The Juicy Lounge — a seafoam green candy-striped floor, bubblegum-pink walls and accents, and a reproduction of Salvador Dali’s “Mae West Lips Sofa” — are a good conversation starter.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House Closing Its Midtown Location in April
Stick a fork in Ruth’s Chris Steak House‘s midtown location. According to Crain’s New York Business, a spokesperson for the company said the lease on the West 51st Street property was expiring and the powers that be decided not to renew it after 30 years.
The main reason cited for the closing is the pandemic. “Almost three years since the onset of Covid-19 ravaged the hospitality industry, no restaurants and bars have been spared, and rising costs, inflation and slow returns for tourism and office work have presented further challenges.”
