Gramercy Tavern: The Home Version

Gramercy Tavern has joined the growing number of New York restaurants offering dinners to go for hungry foodies tired of Seamless and GrubHub.

If that weren’t enough of an enticement, the food boxes are reasonably priced at $49 a person. If you need more motivation, be aware that during the promotion’s maiden week, 100% of the sales benefited the Equal Justice Initiative, an organization dedicated to the fight for equality and justice.

Menus rotate every few weeks. The current four-course offering features eggplant dip; chilled cucumber soup with sugar snap peas, and fresh mint; whole steamed lobster with grilled zucchini, sesame green beans, and potato salad, and chocolate bread pudding. Wine Director Jenni Guizio is on hand to arrange optional wine pairings with selections from the restaurant’s cellar.

Be advised that dinner boxes are available for pickup only, between the hours of 7 and 8 p.m.
