Always a harbinger of good eats, restaurateur Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group has announced plans to open their first restaurant in three years. The name of the new eatery is Ci Siamo, a phrase that translates from the Italian to “Here we are!” Should you be wondering where, the location is to be Manhattan West, opposite Hudson Yards.
According to the New York Times, the menu, like the name, will be Italian but “with touches of France.” Hillary Sterling, who has been named as chef, “said she would strive for simplicity, something that has increasingly informed her cooking. Pastas, like pappardelle with rabbit, will be essential, she said, but there will be no pizzas.”
