After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, City Harvest — the charitable organization that each year feeds a staggering 1.5 million New Yorkers in need — is once again holding its signature fall grazing event, BID. The 2022 edition of BID, themed “Through the Looking Glass,” will take place on Oct. 18 at The Glasshouse, an events space on Twelfth Avenue.

Attendees will sample food and drinks prepared by 50 of New York City’s most notable chefs, restaurants, and mixologists, among them Emma Bengtsson and Kyungsik Nam (Aquavit), Tom Colicchio (Craft), Pino Luongo (Morso), Hillary Sterling (Ci Siamo), and Alfred Portale and Kaity Mitchell (Portale Restaurant). (A complete list of chefs and restaurants can be found here.)

Guests can also look forward to live entertainment and a chance to bid on exceptional prizes via live and silent auctions.

Tickets for the City Harvest BID, which may be purchased here, start at $1,000 per person and range up to $100,000. To place those amounts in perspective, the minimum bid helps feed more 2,857 New Yorkers in need for a day. Naturally, donations in any amount are welcome and appreciated.
