If you’re a fan of bombolones, the Tuscan answer to the donut, you’ll want to note Feb. 8 on your calendar. That is the date on which Bombolone Fest returns to the Big Apple. Bombolone makers, from home bakers to pastry pros, will be on hand to showcase their unique takes on this classic Italian treat, vying for the title of Best Bombolone in the U.S.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a live competition and judging at 2 p.m. The winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000.

Threes Brewing Is Turning 10

In New York bar/restaurant years, ten years is a ripe old age. That is the age Threes Brewing will be turning this coming Thursday, Jan. 23.

To commemorate the milestone, the brewpub will be throwing itself a party at its O.G. location in Gowanus — and you, the public, are invited.
