This coming Saturday, February 1 at 10 a.m., Emily Brooklyn will be hosting a kid-friendly, interactive glass painting workshop with Senegalese artist Ibou Ndoye, followed by a pizza brunch feast.

Not only is Ibou renowned for his mixed-media creations, many of which have appeared in international and local touring shows, he is also Emily Brooklyn’s very first employee having worked in the restaurant for more than 10 years.

At the kid-friendly (ages 5 and up) class, students will be encouraged to use their own inspiration to create a painting in a traditional African style. All materials will be supplied, including a frame to hang up one’s finished artwork. (Guests are welcome to bring their own supplies as well.)

(For younger students who haven’t yet developed their drawing skills, a book of pictures is provided for them to trace onto the glass if they choose.)

Tickets are $50 per person (available here on Resy) and the pizza brunch and soft drinks following the class are included.
