This Saturday, June 8, from 2 to 6 p.m., Grand Army Bar in Boerum Hill will be hosting a block party to celebrate its ninth anniversary.

In keeping with the bar’s current cocktail menu theme — Grand Ole Opry — there will be family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon, including country music DJs and a line dance “caller” who will be instructing guests on line dances. The Hoyt Street block will be closed to traffic, so there will be plenty of room for activities and games. Well-behaved dogs in country-themed costumes are especially welcome.

There will also be burgers, grilled outside, and drink specials presented in partnership with Bacardi.

Reservations are recommended but not required.
