Next Wednesday, Sept. 24, renowned mixologist and industry icon Lynnette Marrero will be hosting a fundraiser for the Latina Equal Pay Campaign at her Brooklyn bar, Milly’s.
The cocktail reception will take place during the United Nations General Assembly, leading up to the tenth anniversary of the Latina Equal Pay Campaign (Oct. 8), a day dedicated to raising awareness about the wage gap faced by Latina women. Proceeds will go directly to initiatives supporting working Latina women across the U.S.
The event will feature Latina-founded brands like Tenango Rum by Sofia DeLeon, mixed by bartenders of Hispanic heritage, including Marrero and DeLeon themselves.
