Don’t look now, but summer is almost over. That’s the bad news. The good news is that there is still plenty to escape to right here in the city if you know where to look for it. One place to look is the all-new Hudson VU Rooftop — one of NYC’s most refined rooftop dining destinations — which is hosting a Rosé Soirée on Aug. 12.
The event, which will run from 6 p.m. to sunset, promises to bring Provençe to the skies of Midtown West and Hell’s Kitchen. Guests will drink in the stunning views from this elegant wrap-around aeries while sipping crisp Whispering Angel Rosé and nibbling passed bites of salmon crudo with cucumber and sauce gribiche; skewers of cantaloupe chunks wrapped in Parisian ham; croquettes with 12-month aged Comté cheese; and “salad au poulet” with chicken, tarragon, and grapes in a gem lettuce cup. At the end of the evening, guests will take home a gift bag with housemade chocolates and more.
Tickets are $85 (plus tax and gratuity). Groups (up to 12) looking for an even more lavish experience can enjoy the Exclusive Table with bottle service for $1,475.
