I must admit: It’s a clever promotion for a product that already has the massive following that Oreos do. Presumably Nabisco will recoup its 50 grand and then some in cookie sales.
The new “mystery” flavor went on sale yesterday, and the answer to what’s in the filling won’t be revealed until Oct. 28. In the meantime, eight clues will be released at interval to help you home in on the flavor. The first clue is already available and comes in the form of both a rhyming quatrain and an image:
Its name it stole
and history kept.
Perhaps from a creature
that lives on the Steppe?
I’m guessing the flavor is not yak, even though some of the flavors Oreo has come out with are pretty bizarre.
