That didn’t take long! It was as recently as this past February that Howard Portnoy introduced AppleEats readers to Sunday Morning, an East Village bakery that has striven to make an art form of the cinnamon roll.
Now comes word that Sunday Morning founder Armando Litiatco, who also owns the Aegean and western Turkish restaurant Rana Fifteen in Park Slope, and partner Ahmet Kiranbay are within hailing distance of opening a second outpost for their sweet and sinful delights. The store, which will be situated on West 25th Street, near Broadway, in Nomad, is slated to open this December.
One senses a scheduling dilemma for Chef Armando, who already takes Sundays off to experiment with new pastry recipes in his home kitchen.
