When it comes to exuding holiday spirit, no city can touch New York. If you don’t believe us, take a look at our annual primer of local bars that transform themselves, including their drink menus, into celebrations of the Season of Lights.
This year you can add a newcomer to your list of bars and restaurants that strive to get into the holiday spirit by offering something unique. Its name is Kabin and its special offering is gløgg, a Scandinavian version of mulled wine that has been aging in an oak cask for weeks.
The current batch of gløgg, which achieved full maturity yesterday, Dec. 1, is a truly limited edition offering: The barrel holds 10 liters, and once it’s finished, it’s gone for the year!
