Good news for bagel lovers: Later this spring, Black Seed Bagels will be opening a new shop in the Hunter’s Point neighborhood of Long Island City, Queens.

The 2,200 square foot shop — located at 5-18 50th Avenue — will bake on-site and offer ample indoor seating. This will be Black Seed’s first location in the borough of Queens, joining 10 other shops around Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Black Seed has cultivated a following for its honey-boiled bagels and creative sandwich combos. They source high-quality ingredients from like-minded purveyors such as Vital Farms pasture-raised eggs, King Arthur high gluten flour, and more.

The shop will offer customized ordering via its platform and dedicated app, through which guests can receive loyalty perks and place orders up to a week in advance. All are encouraged to follow LIC updates on Black Seed’s Instagram or sign up for their newsletter here.

Black Seed is independently owned and operated by proprietors Noah Bernamoff, Matt Kliegman, and James Beard Award finalist and head baker Dianna Daoheung, who co-founded Black Seed in 2014.
