So if you are among the many secret (or overt) admirers of Gran Eléctrica, the Mexican cantina in Dumbo noted for its authentic food — fresh hand-pressed tortillas, house-made crema — prepare to get dumped.
The recipient of multiple Michelin Bib Gourmand citations has announced that it is closing after 12 years. It will be serving its last dinner on Dec. 31, 2024.
That’s the bad news. The good (well, better) news is that the restaurant has already announced plans to “reopen with a new concept in February. Stay tuned for more details.”
