As Thanksgiving approaches, so for many home cooks do feelings of dread over baking their own holiday pies. If that includes you, you’ll want to spend part of next Sunday, Nov. 13, with Christine Cole, owner of Flaweless (note the extra “e”), a shop and studio where she will take the mystery and sting out of making tender crusts and perfect fillings.
Cole will provide step-by-step instruction on how to make a “flaweless” cherry amaretto pie with a lattice crust that is sure to dress up your Thanksgiving table (and/or your Christmas table a month later). You will leave the 90-minute class, which runs from 3 to 4:30 p.m., with a home-baked pie of your own, a reusable pie plate, and the secret to making perfect pies every time.
Tickets, which are $75, may be purchased here. Flaweless, 12 White Street, 917-426-1025.
